This collection for Fall I, Fall II, and Holiday 2012 was inspired by the Missouri History Museum's exhibit, "Underneath It All" which showcased women's undergarments throughout the centuries. It chronicled the evolution of the hoop skirt to the paniers and eventually to what is today's lingerie, as exemplified most profoundly by Victoria's Secret. The title of the collection came from the quality I noticed many of the undergarments shared - lines and shapes that complimented the woman's figure. I took these line qualities and translated them into separate, distinct groups, focusing on particular themes: "Bold," "Sinuous," and "Stylized." The illustration style is inspired by the comic, Supergirl, illustrated by Matt Camp.
